Terrapin Teachers and the Future Mathematics Teachers’ Council (FMTC) happily hosted the 9th annual Early Career Teaching Conference (ECTC) put on by the Association of Maryland Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMMTE) on Saturday Feb, 28th. Close to 50 Maryland mathematics teachers from across the state joined us for a day of professional learning at UMD. We had teachers from Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, Baltimore County, Carroll County, Howard County, Frederick County, Association of Independent Maryland School (AIMS) and Teacher Educators from Maryland, Towson, and Hood College. We offered 9 sessions across three rounds of presentations with Ms. Jax Leslie, MCTM 2025 Outstanding Beginning Teacher, as the keynote speaker. A huge thanks to Dr. Ayanna Perry and the Knowles Teachers Initiative for sponsoring our lunch.
